The Los Angeles Umpire Unit is an organization of baseball umpires certified to officiate high school contests for the second largest school district in the United States.
Our Vision:
To be the most respected, revered, and well-trained High School Umpire Association in the United States.
Our Mission:
- Promote the welfare of baseball by interpreting and administering baseball by the rules set forth by the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) and the National Federation of High Schools (NFHS).
- Promote and maintain the highest degree of baseball officiating by following a uniform set of mechanics and having an adequate number of trained and capable umpires.
- Preserve the traditions, ideals, interests, and improve the quality and prestige of the baseball umpires through a comprehensive program of classroom training and on-the-field experience.
Develop a spirit of camaraderie and maintain a high standard of ethics among umpires.
